Composer Highlights

As performers and conductors and teachers (oh my!), sometimes we forget that a real person wrote the piece of music we're working so hard to learn. Granted, choral music has a history that goes back literally thousands of years, so most of the writers aren't exactly available to chat with. But we work with living composers and we want to give them a chance to talk about their work with you. So we asked them about it!

Our series of "Composer Highlights" posts will let you peek behind the curtain a little and hear from some of our composers about some of their favorite pieces. If you decide to perform one of them, you might even be able to reach out to them yourself to learn more! How cool is that? (It's very cool.)
